Customs officers at Burgas Airport found cigarettes and jewelry in the luggage of two passengers

Two Bulgarian citizens traveling to London were carrying 5,000 cigarettes and over 770 jewelry items made of non-precious metal through the "green corridor".

Customs inspectors at Burgas Airport have discovered 771 pieces of jewelry and 5,000 short cigarettes in the luggage of two Bulgarian citizens attempting to transport the goods in commercial quantities to London.

The passengers used the "green corridor," declaring upon passage that they had no goods to declare. During the inspection of the second passenger, a large number of yellow metal jewelry items were found in two suitcases and one backpack. The total number of items is 771, including:

According to expert analysis, the items are made of non-precious metal.

In the first passenger's luggage, 5,000 short cigarettes (equivalent to 250 packs) were discovered. Although they were equipped with valid Bulgarian excise stamps, the quantity was classified as commercial, which constitutes a violation of customs legislation. Administrative reports for violations have been filed against both citizens.
