At 1 Julieta Shishmanova Square in Nessebar, in the Artium Centre for Culture and Education, representatives of the municipality's tourism industry are gathering today for a discussion with the Minister of Regional Development and Public Works, architect Ivan Shishkov, and the Minister of Tourism, Dr. Ilin Dimitrov. The MRDPW press office stated that the event is part of the "Resorts and Infrastructure" series, which aims to improve cooperation between state institutions, local authorities, and businesses to ensure more effective development of infrastructure and tourist zones.
The importance of this comprehensive approach was also emphasized during the talks held by the two ministers last month in Varna. At that time, during a meeting in the Golden Sands resort complex with experts, members of parliament, and representatives of industry organizations, a consensus was reached that the quality of the environment and the state of infrastructure are inextricably linked to the final tourism product. In this context of changes, yesterday Minister Ilin Dimitrov presented to journalists a package of reforms planned through 2027.
The presented strategy for reforming the sector includes six main pillars. They are aimed at achieving sustainable development of Bulgarian tourism, improving its competitiveness on the market, and achieving greater transparency, or the so-called "bringing the sector into the light."
