Caretaker Council of Ministers Allocates Additional Funding for Ukrainian Refugees

The caretaker Council of Ministers approved additional funding for humanitarian aid to displaced persons from Ukraine residing in Bulgaria. The total sum amounts to over 2 million euros.

The caretaker Council of Ministers adopted a draft decision approving aid for applicants under the "Program for Humanitarian Assistance to Displaced Persons from Ukraine with Temporary Protection in the Republic of Bulgaria", adopted by Decision No. 317 of 2022. Additional expenses were approved for the budget of the Ministry of Tourism for 2026.

Payments to the candidates approved for funding amount to 1,054,346 euros including VAT, according to Appendix List No. 30. The payments are for the period from February 1, 2025 to March 4, 2025; as well as a surcharge for reporting periods from 01.11.2024 to 30.11.2024; 1.12.2024 to 31.12.2024.

In mid-December last year, the caretaker cabinet approved additional expenses for the budget of the Ministry of Tourism for 2025. Payments were verified for the period from January 1, 2025 to January 31, 2025, as well as for the periods from 1.8.2024 to 31.8.2024; from 1.9.2024 to 30.9.2024; from 1.10.2024 to 31.10.2024. The payments to the candidates approved for funding were in the amount of BGN 1,980,639.00 (EUR 1,012,684.64) including VAT, according to Appendix List No. 29.
