The Minister of Labor and Social Policy Borislav Gutsanov undertakes a large-scale working visit to Shumen, aimed at inspecting and officially launching significant social projects in the region. The visit includes a series of important initiatives focused on improving conditions for elderly people and people with disabilities.
During his visit, Minister Gutsanov will officially launch renovation activities at the Home for Elderly People "Dr. Stefan Smyadovski", which will be comprehensively renovated and expanded through financing from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan. The planned intervention provides for expanding the existing infrastructure and ensuring better conditions for the 110 housed elderly people.
Another key moment of the working visit is the beginning of constructing a new social facility in the village of Tsarev Brod. The project provides for creating a modern establishment that will provide a family-oriented environment for people with mental disorders. The investment is being implemented in the context of the large-scale "Long-Term Care Modernization" program.
In parallel with the official ceremonies, the minister will hold a working meeting with people with physical disabilities who receive support at the Social Rehabilitation and Integration Center in Shumen. The visit will also include a tour of the Home for Elderly People in the "Boyan Balgara" neighborhood.
The official part of the visit will be met by the Mayor of Shumen, Prof. Hristo Hristov, who will accompany the minister during the working tour and present local social priorities.
