I signed the minimum wage to be 1213 leva. This was announced by the Minister of Labor and Social Policy Borislav Gutsanov in response to a question regarding the budget for next year. The proposals discussed so far vary around this amount, which clearly indicates an intention for a certain increase in the minimum wage.
The Minister attended a round table on the topic "Childhood without violence", which was held at the National Sports Academy. The event, organized by the chairman of the Youth and Sports Committee in the National Assembly, Gabriel Valkov, brought together representatives of various institutions and organizations working in the field of child rights protection. The atmosphere was tense, with discussions focused on specific problems and the search for solutions.
"The law is such that the amount should be 1213 leva. This went through the National Council for Tripartite Cooperation, and it is signed by me. Now it needs to be seen in the budget what is possible and what is not, as well as what the parameters will be on this issue," the minister added. His words emphasize the existence of a legal framework defining the amount of the minimum wage, but also emphasize the need for budgetary implementation of this norm. A careful study of financial possibilities is forthcoming.
Gutsanov noted that the current budget talks are daily. "There hasn't been a day in the last few weeks when we haven't talked about the budget," he stressed. This testifies to intensive work on the preparation of the financial plan for next year and the importance that the government attaches to this issue.
