The capital's boulevard "Gotse Delchev" became the epicenter of an impressive artistic transformation, when over four dozen artists from different countries turned the monotonous underground space into a living artistic narrative.
On June 28, 2025, a large-scale art project "The Green Walls of Sofia" was officially presented, which covered approximately a thousand square meters of concrete surfaces. The initiative by Sofia Graffiti Tour aims for a radical aesthetic intervention in the urban environment, combining visual art with ecological aesthetics.
Lead artist Rustwo created an innovative background with organic geometric forms, which connects different creative messages. Participants include Bulgarian authors such as Yeto, Jermain, and Kotk, as well as international artists from Hungary, Portugal, Italy, Poland, Colombia, and Romania.
The concept goes beyond purely aesthetic dimensions – the organizers emphasize their ambition to demonstrate street art as a significant cultural platform. "We want to show how art can transform urban spaces," they state.
The project presents the rich biological diversity of Sofia through detailed images of local birds, animal species, and plant forms. Each mural tells a unique story, turning the underpass into a dynamic open gallery.
Sofia Graffiti Tour continues its mission to establish the capital as an international center for urban art, while creating spaces for dialogue between artists and citizens.
