Increased police presence in the Burgas region

More than 240 uniformed officers, supported by modern equipment, will monitor road safety in the Burgas region during the active summer season. The operation aims to limit road traffic accidents and prevent illegal activities.

"We did not allow any unregulated races to take place last night," stated Senior Commissioner Nikolay Nenkov, Director of the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior – Burgas.

Where will there be the most checks?

The police will implement linear control using unmarked cars with cameras and drones. A special focus is placed on drivers of powerful vehicles, as well as repeat offenders.

Focus on Sunny Beach

The situation in the resort remains under close surveillance, with individual electric vehicles (e-scooters) posing a serious problem, for which hundreds of citations have already been issued. During the peak months of July and August, a total of 456 seconded officers will join the local teams, including police officers from Romania, Poland, Germany, and the Czech Republic.
