Increased control over children's tourism
The Ministry of Tourism has launched massive joint inspections in tourist facilities that host organized student groups, summer camps, and excursions. The initiative is prompted by the need for zero compromise when it comes to the safety of adolescents.
"When it comes to children, there can be no compromise with their safety," stated the Minister of Tourism, Dr. Ilin Dimitrov, categorically.
Which institutions are participating in the inspections?
- Ministry of Tourism
- Commission for Consumer Protection (CCP)
- Bulgarian Food Safety Agency (BFSA)
- Regional Health Inspections (RHI)
- Ministry of Interior authorities
The inspections, which began on June 29, cover accommodation conditions, food quality, and compliance with health and legal regulations. A summary report with the results is expected after the completion of the operations.
New branch offices for better response
In parallel with the inspections, the ministry is opening branch offices in "Golden Sands" and "Sunny Beach". The goal is for the administration to be as close as possible to businesses and tourists for timely response to reports.
