An unprecedented military operation shook the Ukrainian territory during the night of July 21, when Russian armed forces conducted a large-scale shelling with various combat means. The attack covered strategically important cities of Kyiv, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Kharkiv, causing significant damage to civilian infrastructure.

In the capital Kyiv, the consequences were particularly dramatic. According to official data from the State Emergency Service, incidents included the occurrence of fires in various urban areas. In the Shevchenkovsky district, drone fragments caused a balcony fire in a ten-story building. Simultaneously, the Dniprovsk district recorded the ignition of commercial facilities, while in the Darnytsia district, a garage cooperative and a childcare facility caught fire.

Local firefighters successfully brought the outbreaks under control, but the damage was significant. Particularly indicative was the incident with the damaged entrance of the "Lukianivska" metro station. A tragic moment was the registration of one human casualty during the shelling.

In Ivano-Frankivsk, Mayor Ruslan Martsynkov described the event as the largest shelling since the beginning of the war. Three settlements in the region suffered infrastructure damage, with three people receiving minor injuries.

Kharkiv Regional Governor Oleh Synegubov reported at least 11 strikes with unmanned aerial vehicles of the "Geran-2" model, with the fortunate circumstance being the absence of casualties.
