Two thousand runners participated in this year's sports festival "Burgas Marathon 2025". The event, held for the second consecutive year, this time offered participants the longest course of 42 kilometers.

The competitors competed in several disciplines, covering different distances: 5, 10, 21, and the aforementioned 42 kilometers. The presence of representatives of the local authorities is notable. Deputy mayors Manol Todorov and Stanimir Apostolov also took part in the race. Manol Todorov, known for his active participation in such events, competed in the 21-kilometer distance.

In the 21 and 42 kilometer disciplines, we observed a strong international presence, with participants from a total of 17 nationalities. This multicultural mix underlines the international character of the event and makes it even more attractive.

The course of "Burgas Marathon 2025" was entirely on asphalt, which had been previously subjected to technical inspection. The organizers had chosen a route that passes through the heart of the city, so that the competitors and spectators could enjoy the most impressive locations in Burgas. Among them were the emblematic Clock, the Compass, "Troykata" square, the Sea Garden, the Pantheon, the Salt Pans alley, the waterfront, the Bridge, and the Archaeological Museum.

This year, the running festival "Burgas Marathon 2025" also had a charitable cause. It was in support of Atanas Stoyanov - a young father who needs funds for the treatment of a serious illness. After seven years of waiting, Nasko and his wife Bozhidara welcomed their first child - a wonderful little girl. The sad reality is that only 12 hours after their first meeting, he had to start his first chemotherapy. His fight is only just beginning, and the Burgas community has the opportunity to help. The call was to show that we are united, that we are a society that cares for its neighbors.

For those who were unable to attend in person and participate, donation accounts were provided.

The event turned into an example of solidarity and unity. The atmosphere on the spot was filled with enthusiasm and determination, as the competitors and spectators were united by a common cause.
