The cultural capital of the sea is preparing for one of its most anticipated summer events – the traditional Sand Sculpture Festival. From June 25, visitors can immerse themselves in a preliminary experience through a specially prepared photographic exhibition that hints at the upcoming artistic adventure.
Author Venelin Todorov has captured impressive shots that document the sculptors' mastery and their ability to transform ordinary sand into a true narrative. His photos not only showcase technical skill but capture the creative spirit and imagination of the artists.
This year's theme "City of Tales" promises an exceptionally exciting experience. Viewers will be able to see three-dimensional compositions inspired by classic literary characters – from "Alice in Wonderland" to "Pippi Longstocking" and "Puss in Boots".
13 leading Bulgarian artists will participate in creating monumental sand installations that will transform Lake Park into a true fairy tale territory. For maximum audience convenience, each photo in the exhibition contains a QR code with precise instructions for accessing the festival zone.
The exhibition will be available until the end of September and represents a significant part of Burgas' cultural calendar. The event also has strategic importance – it supports the city's candidacy for "European Capital of Culture 2032".
