Fire crews have brought under control a blaze in dry grass and bushes near the villages of Izvorishte, Draganovo and Bryastovets in Burgas municipality, and no one was hurt, senior commissioner Nikolay Nikolaev, head of the regional fire and civil protection directorate in Burgas, told BTA.
The fire hit several yards in the villa zone of Izvorishte. No burned buildings have been found.
It started earlier today on land near Izvorishte and spread to the land around all three villages. Strong wind in the area made it spread quickly, Nikolaev said.
Firefighters and volunteers are still putting out the flames. Crews will stay at the site after the fire is fully out.
The size of the burned area and the cause of the fire are not yet known.
