Levski has a new owner. This is Atanas Bostandzhiev, presented at a press conference. Nasko Sirakov remains president, but is no longer the majority owner.
Bostandzhiev is associated with GemCrom, an investment fund operating in developing markets. The fund has stakes in energy and infrastructure projects, including an investment in an oil refinery in Angola.
GemCorp was founded in 2014 and has made investments worth billions of dollars in Africa and Asia. Bostandzhiev was born in Burgas and has experience in Bulgaria, the USA, and international financial institutions. He is also associated with investments in the Black Sea region.
