On July 14 at 8:30 PM, the Summer Theater will host an impressive opera production that promises to transport the audience into the emotional world of one of the most popular musical works in world classics. Under the artistic direction of conductor Sunay Muratov, the production of "Carmen" is emerging as the undisputed centerpiece of this year's "Burgas Music Festival Emil Chakyrov".

The central role of the passionate gypsy Carmen will be performed by the exceptional Daniela Dyakova – a mezzo-soprano with an impressive timbre and unique stage presence. Her stage partner will be tenor Valery Georgiev in the role of Don José – a hero torn between his emotional attachment to Carmen and traditional moral norms.

The dramatic plot will be further enriched by Valeri Turmanov's performance as the matador Escamillo – a charismatic character who provokes strong passions and jealousy. His stage presence is emerging as a key moment in the development of the storyline.

Yoana Zhelezecheva will portray Micaela – a gentle and devoted girl who symbolizes purity and self-sacrifice. Diman Panchev will play the role of Captain Zuniga, who has a crucial role in the opera's dramatic events.

The production includes a rich cast, among whom are Maria Slavova, Maria Yurkovskaya, Andrey Yurkovskiy, Yani Nikolov, and Yordan Hristozov, who complement the massive picture of the opera performance. The directorial concept is entrusted to Darina Glavanakova-Bakardjieva, and the choreography is created by Galina Kalcheva.

The overall musical performance will be supported by the orchestra, choir, and ballet of the State Opera - Burgas, which guarantees the highest quality of the production. Tickets can be purchased from the Opera box office, the "Chasovnika" box office, the Summer Theater, and the electronic platforms Grabo and Eventim.

"Carmen" continues to be one of the most emotional opera works, revealing deep human passions and eternal conflicts between freedom, love, and social conventions.
