The Burgas branch of Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" announces a Greek language course (A1 level), which offers a combined in-person and online learning and is aimed at all who want to build a solid foundation and develop real communication skills in Greek.

The course starts on January 25, 2026 and continues until April 6, 2026, with classes organized twice a week – on Sunday afternoons and on Monday evenings. The total duration is 95 academic hours, and the training is structured to support the consistent mastering of the language and confident use in everyday situations.

Within the course, participants will work to reach A1 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, by mastering key grammatical topics (including present and future tense, nominative and accusative case, gender and number of nouns) and will expand thematic vocabulary on topics such as acquaintance, climate, fruits and vegetables, in the restaurant, clothing and others.

The training emphasizes communication, using additional educational videos and materials.

The course will be led by Vera Dobreva. Upon successful completion, participants will be able to communicate at a basic level, conduct conversations on everyday topics, understand everyday speech, and write short texts.
