The President of the European Central Bank, Christine Lagarde, published a post on “Facebook”, dedicated to Bulgaria's upcoming accession to the Eurozone. In the publication, made two days before the country adopts the euro, Lagarde notes that with the approach of the end of 2025, she recalls key moments of the year.
She emphasizes that at midnight on December 31st against January 1st, Bulgaria will become the 21st member of the Eurozone, defining this as an important historical moment. On the eve of the event, Lagarde also returns to her visit to Sofia in November, which she describes as impressive.
