According to Deadline, the Portuguese superstar will make his television debut as an actor and executive producer in the new drama "Day One". The project will be his first lead role in a full-length production and another step in his expanding presence in the entertainment industry.
The series is being developed by the independent studio U.R. Marv, co-founded by Ronaldo and director Matthew Vaughn. Vaughn is known for his work on films such as "Kingsman", "X-Men: First Class", "Layer Cake", and "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels".
Based on an original idea by football agent Darren Dean, the series "Day One" will tell the fictional story of agent Stanley Dalton. Filming has already begun in London, and the lead role in the production will be played by actor Damian Lewis.
Arsenal legend Thierry Henry and rapper Dave are also expected to make guest appearances in the series, rounding out a cast that has strong ties to the world of football.
