Police officers from the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior in Burgas registered a total of six thefts, three criminal offenses, and one traffic accident over the past day. Official data show the initiation of five police proceedings and the solving of 13 crimes.
In the first significant case, officers from the Second District Police Station - Burgas conducted an inspection on a property near Bulgarovo, inhabited by a 50-year-old criminally active man. During the inspection, 12 hemp plants with heights between 20 and 120 cm were seized. Additionally, a polyethylene bag with approximately 3 grams of dry green mass, classified as cannabis, was found in the dwelling.
Another incident was registered in Karnobat, where police officers stopped a Volkswagen Golf with Burgas registration. A 54-year-old driver from Karnobat was found to be in a state of alcohol intoxication with a concentration of 1.57 per mille. The driver was detained for up to 24 hours.
A similar case of driving under the influence was documented in Tsarevo. Officers from the local District Police Station stopped a Peugeot 206 with Burgas registration, driven by a 55-year-old local resident. The alcohol concentration of the driver reached 3.21 per mille. The man was detained, and the vehicle was seized according to the established procedure.
A traffic accident was registered at the intersection of Solna and Slivnitsa streets in Pomorie. A Volkswagen Tiguan with Haskovo registration, driven by a 53-year-old man, hit an 83-year-old pedestrian from Sopot, who was crossing incorrectly at a red light. Despite the incident, the elderly woman refused hospitalization and further investigation.
These cases illustrate a series of offenses that police services in the Burgas region have successfully documented and investigated.
