A cyclist was badly hurt after crashing into a car at the junction by the overpass near Okeanski Ribolov in Burgas. An ambulance rushed him to hospital, where doctors placed him in the shock ward. His condition is not yet known.
The cyclist was riding along Industrialna Street toward the overpass and rode into the junction on a red light, not noticing the green was for traffic going the other way. The car was heading from Sportna Street toward Ivan Vazov Boulevard.
A reader who saw the crash called it in. Police arrived at the scene, along with officers from the Executive Agency for Fisheries and Aquaculture and customs staff.
