Students from the Professional High School of Chemical Technologies “Acad. N. D. Zelinsky” distributed gifts, smiles, and a sincere Christmas spirit to the children of the Center for Special Educational Support, located on Vardar Street today.

In turn, the children from the Center greeted their guests with poems dedicated to the upcoming Christmas and New Year holidays, after which they opened the gifts and put together puzzles and construction sets together with the students from the 9th, 10th and 11th grades of the high school of chemical technologies.

The event today was attended by the director of the PCHT “Acad. N. D. Zelinsky” Margarita Videva, the deputy director Dobrin Petkov, the director of the CSES Valya Mantareva, teachers from the school and the specialists from the Center.

The director of the CSES Valya Mantareva and the team of the Center for Social Educational Support expressed their gratitude to the management of the high school, the students, their class teachers, as well as to all the teachers and parents of the school who supported the initiative and helped Christmas to be brighter for the children in need.

The gifts were purchased with funds collected during the Christmas charity bazaar organized by the school, which was held on December 11 and 12 in the foyer of the high school and gathered dozens of like-minded people around the cause of supporting children with special educational needs, who immersed themselves in the Christmas spirit among the aroma of homemade delicacies and a variety of handmade surprises, as each purchased item turned into a small gesture with great significance.

Beautiful Christmas cards, pre-made by the students of the 11th “b” grade with class teacher Penka Slavova and the radiant children from the Center, were also included in the Christmas charity bazaar.

The initiative is part of the school's efforts to cultivate in young people empathy, social responsibility and an active civic position, and through the personal participation of the students – from the joint creative work to today's distribution of gifts – the cause has turned into a real celebration of goodness.
