The Central Election Commission (CEC) is preparing to finalize the election process following the parliamentary elections. The Chairperson of the Commission, Kameliya Neykova, announced that the official announcement of the names of the elected members of the 52nd National Assembly will take place on Saturday, April 25.
The process of counting and verifying the data
At the moment, the commission is in a critical phase of information processing. After the receipt of all election protocols from the regional election commissions, serious work begins on:
- Re-entering the data from the protocols into the CEC's computing center;
- A detailed analysis of any identified discrepancies or inconsistencies in the entered data;
- Final confirmation of the votes for the parties and coalitions.
Deadlines according to the Election Code
In order for the process to be transparent and legitimate, the CEC follows strict legal deadlines set in the Election Code:
- Announcement of votes and mandates: No later than four days after election day (Thursday).
- Announcement of the names of the deputies: No later than seven days after election day (Sunday).
We remind you that the eighth elections for the National Assembly since 2021 were held on April 19, and now society awaits the finalization of the democratic process.
