Burgas mayor Dimitar Nikolov has congratulated teachers and school staff in the city for World Teachers' Day on October 5. In his message, he thanked them for their daily work, patience and professionalism.
Teachers do more than pass on knowledge, Nikolov wrote. They shape young people, spot talent in children, nurture their curiosity and give them the confidence to dream. Teaching, he added, is a calling that takes knowledge, patience, dedication and humanity.
"You are among those who leave the deepest mark on every child's life," Nikolov told teachers. He said their words and example guide children for the rest of their lives.
Thanks to teachers, Nikolov wrote, schools in Burgas have become places where children grow and discover. Burgas, he added, has good reason to be proud of its teachers. Together, he said, they are building a school system that meets today's needs and gives children the confidence to succeed in a fast-changing world.
Nikolov wished teachers good health, strength, satisfaction, respect, reasons to be proud — and more students.
