"God, thank you!" — with these words begins the confession of pop star Kichka Bodurova, who survived a dangerous road accident. The singer recounted the dramatic event, which took place, on her personal Facebook profile, and the information was picked up by the media. The cause of the crash was poor weather conditions and heavy rain on the stretch between Varna and Burgas.
The singer describes how the car, driven by her friend Mariana, spun several times on the wet asphalt. The vehicle eventually flew into a deep roadside ditch, crashing in such a way that the back wheels were left in the air. Bodurova herself shared that she escaped relatively lightly with an injury to her right arm, but her companion was more seriously hurt and is facing surgery.
In her post, Bodurova expresses deep gratitude to the people who stopped to help: "Thank you to everyone who stopped, and especially to the two angels — young men who helped us and managed to pull out this huge SUV (almost a tank) — I didn't even manage to ask for their names. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!". She called for her rescuers to reach out to her, emotionally noting that the incident led her to draw a comparison with the infrastructure in Istanbul.
According to the singer, she had recently returned from the Turkish metropolis, where she had marveled at large-scale projects like underwater tunnels and modern highways. "I thought with sadness that I wouldn't live to see a new Varna-Burgas road with tunnels and a highway. I felt so sad and... then this incident happened!", she wrote. Bodurova concluded her message with an appeal to drivers to be careful in rainy weather.
