Eurohold Bulgaria and Euroins Insurance Group have successfully stopped a massive cyberattack on their systems. The company refuses to succumb to attempts at extortion and data theft.

Cyberattack against Eurohold's information systems

"Eurohold Bulgaria" AD and its subsidiary "Euroins" Insurance AD announced that they have successfully prevented a massive cyberattack targeting their information systems. The incident occurred last week, involving the use of complex and sophisticated intrusion methods.

Goals of the hackers

The goal of the attack was to block operational activities, steal sensitive data, attempt extortion, and deliberately damage the reputation of the insurance group.

Despite the seriousness of the situation, the company's cybersecurity team, in close cooperation with the competent state authorities, neutralized the threat in a timely manner.

Consequences for customers

The only direct consequences for users were temporary difficulties in accessing the insurer's website and online systems. The company assures that the situation is under control.
