Two models of women's Crivit ski wear do not have a valid GRS certificate, and customers who return them will get their money back, Kaufland said.
The items are women's ski trousers in red and black, numbered IAN 484974_2501, and a women's ski jacket in red, black and light blue, numbered IAN 484981_2501. The number is printed on the label of each garment, so shoppers can check whether theirs is affected.
Juritex Import-Export GmbH, the firm behind both items, said they do not match the GRS label they carry. GRS stands for Global Recycled Standard.
The body that issues the standard requires certificates as proof of where an item comes from. Juritex Import-Export GmbH has not provided any, so the GRS certificate for both the trousers and the jacket is not valid.
The firm says the quality of the products is not affected. It apologised to customers for the inconvenience.
Returns are optional. Anyone who returns the trousers or the jacket because of the certificate problem gets the full purchase price back.
