Writer and literary scholar Katya Zografova will present three new books in Burgas. She will talk about them on Wednesday, 21 October, at 5pm in the Petya Dubarova hall of the Sea Casino Cultural Centre.
The three books run to more than 1,500 pages. They cover little-known facts and figures from Bulgarian literature and history, women who made their mark, and the fates of the Vazov family.
The literary history study "NEZABRAVA. Readings and Tributes to Literary Classics and Their Companions" looks at major authors and their contemporaries who stayed outside the literary canon.
"Rayna Knyaginya" is a documentary book about the life of Rayna Popgeorgieva beyond her familiar image as the standard-bearer of the April Uprising. "Chronicles of the Vazov Family – 2" is the second volume, with new details about the relatives of Ivan Vazov and what became of them.
Zografova has studied Bulgarian literature and culture for many years. She is linked to the National Literary Museum. Her earlier books include "The Many-Faced Bulgarian Woman", "Famous. Forgotten. Forbidden" and "The Non-Canonical Vazov".
