The government has changed the rules for the National Tourist Register and the fee schedule under the Tourism Act, its press office said. The changes cover how providers of high-risk attraction services are registered and what fees they pay.
The rules now set out how the Register of Attraction Service Providers is kept and used. They cover first registration, changes to registered details and removal from the register.
Under the fee schedule, a provider pays a fee when first registered and when changes are entered for an already registered provider. The statement did not give the amounts.
The changes follow a legal requirement that all providers must register. The Council of Ministers put forward the Act on General Safety Requirements for Providing Attraction Services That Pose a Higher Risk. MPs passed it in late January, voting on the first and second readings at the same sitting.
Anyone who wants to offer such services must tell the tourism minister before starting work, using a set form. Providers are entered in a public register run by the Ministry of Tourism, which is part of the National Tourist Register.
