The BG-Alert system will be implemented in the Burgas region over the next three days, the regional administration announced on July 24, 2025. The emergency measure is a direct response to expected extremely high temperatures and increased fire risk.

The specialized message, provided by the regional press center, reveals details about the emergency warning. The system will operate twice daily - from 10:00 to 11:00 and from 16:00 to 17:00, with the main goal of maximally informing the local population and tourists.

Governor Vladimir Krumov personally initiated this preventive approach after analyzing the critical situation in the region. Statistics show an extremely alarming trend - over the past month, multiple fires have been registered daily, threatening settlements, agricultural lands, and forest areas.

The upcoming days are expected to be extremely risky due to forecasted extreme temperatures. Authorities urgently call on citizens to exercise exceptional caution and follow strict fire prevention measures.

The official position of the regional administration is categorical: disposing of cigarette butts, glass bottles, and other easily flammable materials is prohibited. Additional emphasis is placed on immediately reporting to phone 112 when noticing a fire or suspicious activity.

"We ask everyone to act responsibly and be maximally vigilant," the press center of the Burgas Regional Administration states.
