Ivan Ivanov Presented a Report on the Activities of the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works: Highlights on Infrastructure Projects and Energy Efficiency

The outgoing Minister of Regional Development and Public Works, Ivan Ivanov, reported on the ministry's achievements for the year. The report highlighted infrastructure projects, such as the Hemus, Europe, Struma, and Ruse-Veliko Tarnovo motorways, as well as programs for energy renovation of residential buildings and regional development.

The Minister of Regional Development and Public Works in resignation, Ivan Ivanov, presented a report on the activities of the department for the past year. The report focused on key infrastructure projects and programs related to energy efficiency.

Infrastructure projects:

Winter situation: Over 540 machines are working on the republican network. Restrictions for trucks over 12 tons in certain areas.

Water crisis in Shumen: Accidents removed. Removal of the manager of ViK - Shumen requested.

National Toll Management: The plan of BGN 1 billion in revenue exceeded. Procedure for returning funds to carriers started.

Municipal Investment Program: 2409 agreements signed. EUR 386 million paid through MRRB and EUR 130.5 million through BBR.

Dams: "Luda Yana" dam put into operation. Procedure for selecting a contractor for the "Cherni Osam" dam.

Recovery and Sustainability Plan: 100% of the funds for energy renovation saved. Second stage with 100% financing and an extended deadline until 2029.

Operational Programs: Certified expenses of nearly EUR 1.5 billion under OPRR. 560 contracts concluded for EUR 1.6 billion under the "Development of the Regions" program.

The Minister noted a record 828 questions from MPs, 767 of which were answered.
