As before, in 2026, two main aspects will be leading in my work as mayor of Pomorie Municipality and in the work of the municipal administration - transparency and solutions. This was stated by Mayor Ivan Aleksiev today during an online broadcast, and he added:
Transparency. Pomorie Municipality can boast of holding the largest number of public discussions in the region on various current topics, projects and proposals (beautification, parking, waste collection, renovation, vegetation in the center, the handball court, etc.). As soon as I took office in November 2011, we started with transparent management of the municipality, expressed in: presentation and annual public discussion of the budget of Pomorie Municipality in each settlement; updating and filling with content the website of the Municipality; Introduction of new technologies - creating profiles and publishing important information on social networks - Facebook, Instagram, Viber and YouTube.
To improve transparency in 2026, the operational meetings, which are held every Monday at 10:00 a.m. with the directors of directorates, heads of departments and the directors of municipal enterprises, will be broadcast online. Thus, everyone can be involved and informed more about the current activities of the Municipality.
We are continuing the initiative "You ask - the mayor answers", through which every last Wednesday of the month I answer live every question asked.
My reception day remains Tuesday, but it will now be all day.
After January 15, 2026, a schedule will be drawn up for visiting each settlement in the municipality. Due to the fact that at the beginning of this year we do not have an adopted state budget, I will answer the questions that concern the residents of the municipality. In Pomorie, there will be three meetings - in the "Sever" quarter, in the "St. George" quarter and in the central city part, which will be held in public places and will continue until there are questions.
Solutions. After all meetings, discussions and suggestions, the decisions are made by the Municipal Council. After a decision is made, the mayor and the administration implement it. In the future, the public publication of the reports on the implementation of the decisions of the Municipal Council and the implementation of the management program, also adopted by a decision of the Municipal Council, will continue.
I remind you that all meetings of the Municipal Council are also broadcast online.
Dear fellow citizens, you not only have the right, but also all the opportunities to manage and control the activities of the Municipality. Be active so that as one big family we can live united and together in our common home - Pomorie.
