In the time we live in, we all need courage, composure, and maternal care, said President Iliana Yotova to journalists on the occasion of the upcoming International Women's Day - March 8. The head of state will participate in a forum dedicated to the role of women in the processes of social development.

The President wished all women to be healthy and to remain as courageous as they are.

Women's Day is celebrated to highlight the achievements of women in the world, regardless of national, ethnic, linguistic, cultural, economic, and political differences between them, points out the "Reference" department of BTA. The first National Women's Day was celebrated in the USA on February 28, 1909, at the proposal of the Socialist Party of the USA.
