President Iliana Yotova will decide whether to run for a second term after the parliamentary elections. This became clear from her interview for bTV. Yotova shared that she has received offers to participate in the presidential elections from various public figures and political forces.
“I don't hide it – I have received offers from various public figures, groups, and parties to participate in the next presidential elections. Whether I will do it - I will assess only if I see that I have done my job, if the assessment of my work is good, and I see that I am receiving the trust of the people,” explained the President.
To the question of what it is like to be a female president, Yotova answered that she hasn't had time to think about this question, since from the first day she had to start consultations with the parties. She noted that she receives support from women and respect from colleagues, emphasizing that “no woman can succeed without the support of the male world”.
Iliana Yotova expressed gratitude to her husband for his support. “If it weren't for this support, I wouldn't be here today,” she said.
