It's difficult to speak about religion or a holiday after events like those of the last few weeks, but it is precisely because of these dramatic moments, and because of the dozens of human, but not humane actions, that I want to turn to you and to all Bulgarian citizens to talk about God, about the already arrived month of Ramadan and about the meaning of spirituality, humanity, about good as a counteraction to evil, said in a declaration on behalf of the parliamentary group "DPS-Novo Nachalo" Husein Hafazov. According to him, we seek God when we are in need, and sometimes we think we have found him, but the result is that we have only harmed ourselves and those around us, while we were looking for him in the wrong place, and that we have found Him, but we have made God our own ego.
I cannot afford pathos - when there are so many reasons for sadness, the festive days must be shrouded in humility, the MP pointed out. Today I decided, as a greeting to Muslims for Ramadan, to reveal to you the heartfelt meaning and purpose of fasting and abstinence as a way of thinking and behaving. Why the fast itself in the holy month is a kind of abstinence and patience and one of its goals is to encourage us to experience, to live through, to share the suffering, thirst, poverty of millions of people around the world and to provoke understanding and compassion for them, explained Husein Hafazov. Almost every month we are shaken by events that cause another social trauma and pain and give us clear signals that our society is spiritually ill, reminding us how weak, fragile and vulnerable we actually are, the declaration of "DPS-Novo Nachalo" says. Let's admit - we are wrong, we are in a dead end, we are helpless in our attempts to stand on sound, moral, ethical, spiritual foundations, Hafazov read. According to him, we also often make mistakes when we reason, and often our faith turns out to be disastrous. We need to seek support in something initial, universal, imperishable, he added.
Be good, give to good, compete in good, he wished. If all Muslims, regardless of the extent to which they fulfill the canonical conditions of Ramadan, do one good deed a day for our fellow citizens, then in one month we will have done millions of good deeds, and if this practice continues after Ramadan, then our earthly path will turn into a sacred and meaningful life, Husein Hafazov reminded. In this situation, can anyone doubt our civic devotion and our love for our homeland, to do good in all its manifestations, in every case that is provided or sought, the MP asked. This is the highest meaning, there are so many people in need of good and our help – orphans, sick, widows, elderly, lonely people, listed the representative of "DPS-Novo Nachalo". And he called - "to turn to them, to be with them, to be part of them, to reach out to those in need of a warm dinner, warm clothes, a warm word, a warm hug, to treat animals with warmth. Without waiting for material reward, added Husein Hafazov.
"Faith in God and good deeds are the basis of religion and the goal that the Almighty has set in it. Ramadan appears again to affirm these values and to remind that our deeds during this month and after it must be accompanied by patience, humility, mutual forgiveness," the declaration of the political force says.
On behalf of "DPS-Novo Nachalo" and on his own behalf, Husein Hafazov greeted Muslims in the country and around the world with the beginning of the month of Ramadan, wishing health, easy and successful fasts, faith, spiritual bliss.
