The Burgas choir "Fortissimo" once again brought Bulgaria's glory to the international stage, triumphing with prestigious awards from the African Asia Pacific Choir Games & Grand Prix of Nations 2025, held on the exotic island of Mauritius. The event, which marked International Music Day, brought together talented singers from all over the world, putting them in competition with over fifty choir groups from fourteen countries on four continents.

On the eve of the competition performances, an atmosphere of anticipation and excitement reigned on the island. From all corners of the world, the choirs arrived, carrying with them the musical heritage of their countries. The Bulgarian performers from "Fortissimo" participated in two categories, presenting themselves in "Chamber Choirs" and "Folklore". The competition, as expected, was extremely fierce, with participants from countries such as Malaysia, Indonesia, Germany, South Africa, and Namibia. The tension was felt in the air, but the determination of the Bulgarian singers was also undeniable.

The performances were followed by moments of tense anticipation and completely natural emotions. And when the time came to announce the results, ecstasy and tears of joy erupted in the hall. "Fortissimo" not only won a gold medal in the "Chamber Choirs" category, but also won the biggest award – the Grand Prix title in "Folklore". The triumph was met with thunderous applause. The choir members expressed their heartfelt gratitude to their loved ones, their faithful audience, and their admirers, who have always supported them. The institutions whose support was key to their participation – the Ministry of Culture and the Municipality of Burgas – were also not forgotten.

Behind the success of the event lies the excellent organization of INTERKULTUR, who once again proved that their motto "Singing together unites the peoples" is more than just a slogan. "Fortissimo" sent special gratitude to their conductor, Milena Dobreva, whose faith in them and inspiring preparation turned the Bulgarian choir into a world champion, a symbol of Bulgarian musical culture and talent.
