Weather for the week: Heat and a slight change
The coming days will be dominated by typical August heat. Despite the passage of an atmospheric front, summer temperatures will reach their peak values at the end of the week.
Be careful of high fire danger in the eastern regions, where strong winds further complicate the situation.
- Tuesday: A cold front passes through with strong winds in the Danubian Plain and brief showers in the mountains.
- Wednesday: A quick return of the heat with temperatures up to 36 degrees.
- Thursday: Extreme heat with temperatures up to 38-39 degrees, and up to 40 in some places.
- Friday and Saturday: Tropical nights with minimum temperatures up to 25 degrees and maximums approaching 40 degrees in Thrace.
- Sunday: An expected slight drop in temperatures after cooler air moves in.
Stay hydrated and avoid direct sun exposure during the hours with the highest temperatures.
