In the code of a beta version of the Google app, a new "Your Day" feature was discovered – a personal Gemini-based feed that gathers events, reminders, and other important information from Google services and revives the concept of Google Now in a more intelligent, "Personal Intelligence" format.

Google seems to be preparing to bring back one of the most beloved ideas from the early years of Android – a daily proactive feed with useful information, this time powered by Gemini. In beta version 17.14 of the Google app, lines of code were discovered that describe a new feature called "Your Day". It is designed as a personalized feed with upcoming events, reminders and other relevant information extracted from related Google services.

Return to the spirit of Google Now

The discovery, first published by "9to5Google" after analysis of the APK file, reveals text that describes the function as follows: the user will be able to "receive a proactive feed from Gemini to always be one step ahead". According to the code, the "Your Day" section will appear as a new card in the Gemini app settings – in the profile menu, in the "Personal Intelligence" section, along with the already available options "Memory", "Connected Apps" and "Gemini Instructions".

From what the editors of "9to5Google" have been able to activate in test mode, the feed will be launched from the navigation menu of the Gemini app. Although the exact interface has not been finalized, it is assumed that it will be a set of cards with upcoming meetings, tasks, reminders and other important data for the day, collected from various Google applications – similar to the way the AI "Inbox" function in Gmail groups emails by priority.

The concept strongly resembles two already closed Google products, for which many users still feel nostalgia. "Google Now" – the company's original predictive assistant – for years showed contextual cards with information about the weather, traffic, flights and news, before being gradually withdrawn. Its successor became "Google Assistant Snapshot", launched in 2018 with a similar idea, but Google discontinued it in early 2022, encouraging users to simply ask the assistant manually – a change that many perceived as less convenient than the visual summary feed "everything in one place".

Step forward for "Personal Intelligence"

"Your Day" seems to be upgrading the "Personal Intelligence" concept that Google introduced in early 2026. This feature connects Gemini with Gmail, Google Photos, YouTube and Search to provide proactive, personalized answers and suggestions. Initially available only to paid subscribers, in March 2026 it was also opened to free Gemini users in the US.

The idea behind "Personal Intelligence" is for Gemini to combine data from different Google services, so that it can itself offer useful actions – for example, to remind you of a flight, to extract a ticket from Gmail, to show the route in Maps and to offer a video with useful tips on YouTube, without the user having to search for all this separately. A feed like "Your Day" would turn this approach into a central daily screen that summarizes the most important things for that particular day.

At the moment, Google has not officially announced the feature and it is not available to the general public. As is often the case with code found in beta versions, there is no guarantee that "Your Day" will appear in a finished form or will be released at all. However, against the background of the company's desire to turn Gemini into a "daily assistant" with deep personal integration, such a proactive feed seems like a completely logical next step.
