Andrey Yanev, the director of the Burgas Art Gallery “Petko Zadorosky”, and Galina Mitkova, the director of the State Cultural Institute “The Palace” - Balchik, signed an agreement for cooperation between the two cultural institutions. This was announced during a joint press conference held in the halls of the Burgas gallery.
The new partnership marks the beginning of closer work between the institutions and opens opportunities for future joint initiatives – exhibitions, cultural events and creative projects.
The idea is to encourage exchange between the art circles in Burgas and Balchik through joint initiatives, and to create new opportunities for presenting artists and cultural programs to a wider audience.
The State Cultural Institute “The Palace” in Balchik has a collection of over 600 art canvases, as well as exhibition spaces and outdoor areas along the Bulgarian Black Sea coast.
As a first step in the partnership, an exhibition with Strandzha icons from the fund of the Burgas Art Gallery is planned to visit “The Palace” in the summer.
The partnership is another step towards a more active cultural exchange along the Bulgarian Black Sea coast, in which art becomes a natural bridge between cities, artists and the public.
