Football equality: Montana and Lokomotiv (Plovdiv) shared the points in a contested match

A dramatic clash between a newcomer and an established team ended with a 1:1 result at Ogosta Stadium, with both teams showing character and ambition.

In the second round of the Bulgarian football championship, the teams of Montana and Lokomotiv (Plovdiv) played an extremely contested match, which ended in a 1:1 draw. The match, held at the Ogosta Stadium, offered an intriguing development and emotional moments for the fans of both teams.

Initially, the visiting team from Plovdiv took the initiative and created a dangerous moment as early as the seventh minute. Francisco Politino found Juan Perrea behind the home team's defensive line, but his goal attempt was stopped by goalkeeper Marcio Rosa.

The home team from Montana responded in the 23rd minute, when Filip Ezike demonstrated individual mastery and managed to overcome goalkeeper Bojan Milosavljevic, opening the score – 1:0.

Lokomotiv did not give up and managed to equalize in the 36th minute through Catalin Itu. The Romanian footballer, who came on as a substitute, scored an impressive acrobatic goal after a cross from Politino, sending the ball into the left corner of the goal.

The second half proceeded with mutual control and lower scoring potential. Martin Ruskov, Enzo Espinosa, and Todor Pavlov from Lokomotiv had opportunities to change the score, but failed to realize their chances.

For Montana, this result is their first point in the elite group, while for Lokomotiv (Plovdiv) the point keeps them among the leading teams – they are fourth in the standings after a victory against Dobrudzha in the first round.

The team lineups included several interesting players, including Marcio Rosa, Christopher Achempong, and Emmanuel Ekele from Montana, and Bojan Milosavljevic, Julien Lamy, and Efe Ali from Lokomotiv.

The main referee of the match was Martin Velikov, who awarded a total of six yellow cards – three for each team, which shows the extremely contested and emotional nature of the match.
