The photo exhibition “City and Inner World”, which is visiting the city, remains open to visitors until October 15th. The exhibition is located in the foyer on the first floor of the NHK Cultural Center.
The exhibition is the result of the creative process of a group of people with mental difficulties. With the help of the Sofia Photography School, they have captured buildings, details and hidden corners of the city, reflecting their personal and emotional views. The photos presented to the public not only reveal the architectural beauties of the city, but also reveal the inner worlds of the people behind the lens. These worlds are both fragile and strong, seeking meaning, connection and opportunity for expression.
The presentation of this exhibition aims to provide a platform for the voices of people who often remain invisible to society. It aims to encourage a broader conversation about mental health, inclusion and the power of art as a form of support.
"This exhibition is not just an art project. It is an invitation to society to see beyond the diagnoses – to see the person, their gaze and their perspective", share the organizers of the event.
The organization of the event is carried out in partnership between Burgas Municipality and the “Global Initiative in Psychiatry – Sofia” Foundation.
