The seaside town of Primorsko becomes an epicenter of cultural diversity during a seven-day international folk festival, which officially starts this week. The event brings together over 20 creative groups from different European countries, creating a unique platform for intercultural dialogue.
The official program includes large-scale activities that will attract the attention of local and foreign tourists. Among the main attractions are impressive parades through the central city streets, where participants will showcase authentic folk costumes and traditional musical instruments.
The festival events cover diverse formats - from competitive performances at various stage venues to interactive workshops on craftsmanship. A special highlight are the evening concerts, which will present folk ensembles from Bulgaria, Western and Eastern Europe, as well as representatives from the Caucasus region.
The organizers have prepared a rich bazaar zone where visitors can touch authentic handmade items - ceramics, embroideries, knitting, and traditional souvenirs. Simultaneously, open lessons in folk dances will be conducted by established choreographers and dance masters.
The significance of the festival goes beyond pure entertainment. The event becomes a symbolic space for cultural exchange, which promotes Bulgarian traditions and creates bridges between different communities. The international participation emphasizes Primorsko's potential as an attractive center for cultural tourism.
Experts define the initiative as an exceptional opportunity to present intangible cultural heritage while drawing attention to authentic forms of folk art. The festival continues until August 12 and promises unforgettable experiences for all participants and guests.
