Ferrari has presented details about the interior of its first electric model, called Luce, which translates from Italian as “light.” The interior is the result of a collaboration with the California-based studio LoveFrom, headed by Jony Ive, known for his work at Apple.

The interior of the Luce impresses with simple and elegant shapes, dials, physical buttons, aluminum switches, and modern electronics. Ferrari has made the decision to move away from the excessive use of touchscreens, characteristic of modern cars, and to create an analog interior. The designers have returned to the classics, using dials and physical buttons to create a feeling of retro design.

The minimalist design of the dashboard is reminiscent of the 1970s, with simple but functional forms. The steering wheel is a classic Nardi with thin aluminum spokes. The instrument panel, located on the steering column, adjusts along with it. It has a 12.5-inch frame, in which three round multi-functional dials are located. Its 10-inch multimedia screen resembles an iPad.

On the upper surface of the center tunnel is a selector for the transmission modes, shaped like an illuminated glass cylinder. To the left of the selector is a slot for a key with a built-in electronic ink display. The Luce has a small console above the head with a Launch Control handle, blinds, and light control switches. The four-seater interior has individual ventilation vents for the passengers in the back, five climate control buttons, and a small performance data screen.

The Luce stands out with high-quality materials, as most surfaces that come into contact with your hands are made of anodized aluminum and scratch-resistant glass. Samsung supplies the OLED screens for the Ferrari Luce.

The platform and main technical specifications of the Ferrari Luce were revealed last October. Ferrari's first electric car features a powertrain of four electric motors, producing approximately 1000 hp and an 880-volt battery with a capacity of 122 kWh. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes 2.5 seconds, and the range on a single charge is 530 km according to the WLTP cycle.
