A disturbing incident has shaken one of Italy's busiest airports after a man set a check-in area on fire, forcing a partial evacuation. The events unfolded at Milan's Malpensa airport, a key tourist hub, especially popular with British tourists.

Numerous videos circulated on social media captured the chaotic atmosphere that gripped Terminal 1. The footage shows a raging fire at one of the passenger check-in desks. At the same time, a visibly aggressive man is seen damaging digital screens before eventually being apprehended by authorities. The atmosphere was tense and alarming, and witnesses to the scene were visibly distressed by what was happening.

The Lombardy Airports Association confirmed that the situation was under control and that the man had been arrested. Despite the rapid response of the security forces, the incident caused serious disruptions to the airport's normal operations. The association warned that travelers should prepare for possible delays and flight cancellations.

The incident raises questions about the security of airport facilities and the adequate response in such crisis situations.
