The Burgas Opera is preparing a large-scale musical event that promises to take the audience's breath away amidst the majestic landscapes of Strandzha. On July 26 at 8:30 PM, classical art enthusiasts will have the unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the biblical story of "Samson and Delilah" under the open sky.
Director Prof. Dr. Alexander Tekeliev has developed an impressive production, entirely tailored to the natural terrain and specific atmosphere of the ancient sanctuary. The musical direction has been entrusted to Prof. Dr. Grigor Palikarov, who guarantees the high professional quality of the performance.
The opera production promises an exceptional artistic cast. In the lead roles, we will see some of the most prominent Bulgarian opera talents – Daniela Dyakova, Daniel Damyanov, Alexander Krunev, Kostadin Mechkov, and Diman Panchev. Their mastery will bring to life the complex score by Camille Saint-Saëns, known for its exceptional musical complexity.
The work presents a grand dramatic story filled with deep moral messages. The plot reveals intertwined themes such as love, betrayal, revenge, and redemption, based on biblical narratives. The choral ensembles will be a key element that will further enrich the musical experience.
Innovative visual solutions include modern 3D mapping and multimedia effects, created by Nikola Peshev. These technological techniques will complement the classical opera art, creating a multi-layered sensory experience among the ancient megalithic blocks.
The organizers from the State Opera - Burgas and the Municipality of Primorsko have prepared an exceptional experience for music lovers. Tickets can be purchased from the Opera's box office, the "Chasovnika" box office, as well as through online platforms Grabo and Eventim.
The event is part of the sixth edition of the "Opera at the Sanctuary" festival, which continues to expand the boundaries of classical musical art, transforming natural landmarks into unique concert spaces.
