Energy ministers from Bulgaria, Serbia, Greece and North Macedonia meet in Belgrade tomorrow to discuss joint work on energy. Bulgaria's energy minister Iva Petrova will take part, the energy ministry told BTA.
The meeting is the second of its kind and starts at 9:00 am local time, or 10:00 am Bulgarian time, at the Palace of Serbia. Alongside Petrova will be Serbian mining and energy minister Dubravka Djedovic Handanovic, Greek environment and energy minister Stavros Papastavrou and Sanja Bozinovska, North Macedonia's energy, mining and mineral resources minister.
The agenda covers changes in the European energy market and the search for more supply routes and sources. The four countries will also discuss how to link their grids better, so they don't depend on a single route for gas and electricity.
The ministers will look at pipeline and grid projects meant to make supplies more secure and flexible. They will also talk about the need for new power capacity, and about putting more money into wind and solar plants in the four countries.
The talks will cover specific projects of importance to the region and the next steps in linking up the national energy markets.
