The electricity on the Bulgarian Independent Energy Exchange (BNEB) continues to be the subject of increased interest, with today's auctions in the "Day-Ahead" segment reporting a new price, signaling changes in the market. With an average price of 253.77 leva (excluding VAT) per megawatt-hour, the auctions concluded today, according to official data after the exchange closed. The transactions that form this price are based on tomorrow's delivery day, November 4th.

Analysts emphasize that this price comes against the backdrop of yesterday's closure of the exchange, when the average price was 250.30 leva per megawatt-hour. This means that Bulgarian businesses will have to pay 1.39 percent more for electricity tomorrow, compared to today's prices.

Market tension is also reflected in the different time periods of consumption. The average price of peak energy, which was traded for the period from 09:00 to 20:00 tomorrow, is 292.25 leva per megawatt-hour. On the other hand, off-peak energy, covering the periods from 01:00 to 08:00 and from 21:00 to 24:00, was traded at an average of 215.29 leva per megawatt-hour.

According to BNEB data, the total amount of electricity that has found a buyer is 88,839.90 megawatt-hours.

In parallel, in the market segment "Within the Day", where energy products with a shorter delivery period are traded, the weighted average price of 60-minute products at the moment is 250.46 leva (excluding VAT) per megawatt-hour. For 15-minute products, the weighted average daily price at the moment is 228.34 leva (excluding VAT) per megawatt-hour, which testifies to the dynamics of the market and its constant adaptation to changing conditions.
