EasyJet will fly direct between Burgas and Bristol all through the summer season starting May 28, 2027, Burgas airport says. Tickets are already on sale.
There will be two flights a week, on Mondays and Fridays. Prices start at £53.48 per person one way.
Besides tickets, easyJet also offers packages to Burgas that include a flight and a hotel. Some of the beach packages also cover transfers and 23kg of checked luggage.
The route is expected to draw mainly travellers from the UK, who have holidayed on Bulgaria's Black Sea coast for years. Sunny Beach is one of their top spots, and Burgas is a handy base for the other resorts and towns along the southern coast too.
The route also opens things up for Bulgarians heading the other way. Bristol is one of the big cities in southwest England, with plenty of history, architecture and a lively cultural scene. It's home to the Clifton Suspension Bridge, the historic ship SS Great Britain and the Harbourside waterfront, and the city is known for its street art and for Banksy.
Bath and the Cotswolds are also an easy trip from Bristol.
