A bus driver and a lorry driver died at the scene after a crash on the road between Pazardzhik and Plovdiv on Monday evening, police said. The lorry was pulling a semi-trailer.
The bus was empty. The driver was the only person on board.
The crash happened at about 9.40pm, just past the turn-off for the village of Govedare. The road is closed between Stamboliyski and Malo Konare, and cars are being sent on detours.
Traffic police, officers from the Pazardzhik district police station, firefighters from Pazardzhik, Stamboliyski and Plovdiv, and ambulance crews worked at the scene.
The Pazardzhik district police station's duty team is examining the scene.
