Portuguese Fiesta in Burgas
From June 30th to July 3rd, Burgas becomes a hub of Portuguese culture. The event, organized by the Camões Sofia center, Burgas Municipality, and the Sea Casino Cultural Center, offers a rich program that combines the traditions of the Iberian Peninsula with the maritime spirit of the city.
"Days of Portuguese Culture" provide a unique opportunity to experience authentic Portuguese art, language, and cinema.
Creative Workshops: Ceramics with Tradition
A highlight of the program is the art workshops, where participants can create their own ceramic pieces:
- Decorating olive dishes (azeitoneira): An introduction to everyday culture and techniques of painting on ceramics.
- "Portuguese Ceramics" Workshop: Inspired by the style of Rafael Bordalo Pinheiro, for modeling vessels in unique shapes.
Cinema Under the Stars
The evenings of July 1st, 2nd, and 3rd are reserved for high-quality Portuguese cinema at the "Okhlyuva" (The Snail) stage. Viewers will enjoy a selection of films: the romantic comedy "A Bela e o Paparazzo" (The Beauty and the Paparazzo), the psychological drama "Alice", and the inspiring "Fátima" (Apparition).
