Expectations for the handing over of the mandate

Today, it is expected that Vice President Iliana Iotova will present the first exploratory mandate for the formation of a government. The decision was announced after the conclusion of consultations with the parliamentary groups on Tuesday, with the date set for May 7 at 5:00 PM.

"It is necessary to start with a budget for only half a year, which would break the inflationary spiral and help the most vulnerable," the head of state pointed out.

According to the Bulgarian Constitution, the President entrusts the mandate to a candidate for Prime Minister, nominated by the largest parliamentary group after consultations have been held.
