A 12-year-old child is in serious condition after an accident involving a scooter in the Burgas region, police announced today. The tragic incident cast a shadow over an otherwise quiet day in the resort area, reminding us of the risks posed by means of transport, especially when operated by young people.

The accident happened on October 13 in the villa zone "Cholakova cheshma", near the Nesebar village of Kosharitsa. According to initial information, the incident occurred on a specially designated bicycle path, which raises questions about the circumstances that led to the accident. This is an area known for its bustle during the summer months, and now, at the beginning of autumn, offers peace, interrupted by the sudden tragedy.

Ironically, a similar incident was recently reported in the media, this time in Teteven, where a teenage girl with a scooter was involved in a collision with a car.

The injured boy is from Kazakhstan and lives in the village. Medical teams responded immediately, but the child's condition remains critical. According to the latest information, the child is in the hospital, with a head injury, in a coma and with an immediate danger to life. The child's relatives are in a state of shock and fear, facing the greatest ordeal a parent can go through.

An investigation is currently underway by the competent authorities. Investigators are working to clarify all the circumstances that led to the incident. Witnesses are expected to be questioned and expert examinations are expected to be carried out to help determine the causes of this serious accident.
